The Portfolio Performance Group (PPG) assists in the optimisation of business performance in PAI portfolio companies. It is staffed with professionals each with more than 15 years of experience in industry and consultancy. Leveraging upon this broad experience, they assist portfolio companies in defining and implementing full potential plans throughout the investment cycle and also provide support in the specific areas of top line growth, purchasing performance optimisation and implementing lean manufacturing.
To maximise opportunity identification and benefit generation for portfolio companies, PPG professionals work most of their time on the ground in conjunction with the management teams. In addition, the PPG facilitates cooperation and exchange of best practices among portfolio companies.
Charles Bouaziz joined PAI in 2011. He is a member of the Food & Consumer Goods sector team and also heads the Portfolio Performance Group.
Prior to joining PAI, Charles held a number of senior positions during his 23 years in the Consumer Goods industry. He spent his early career at Michelin and Procter and Gamble before joining PepsiCo in 1991. Charles joined PepsiCo as Marketing Director of France & Belgium and in 1996 became General Manager for France where he successfully led the mergers with Frito Lay and Tropicana. In 2006, he became General Manager of a group of countries including France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria. In 2008, Charles was appointed President of PepsiCo Western Europe. In 2010, he left PepsiCo and became CEO of Monoprix.
Charles graduated from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC 1985). He speaks French (native), English (fluent) and Spanish (basic).« Back
