A responsible approach to investing
PAI has a long-term approach to investing and is committed to growing businesses. PAI's investment strategy naturally engenders a responsible approach to its portfolio companies.
Furthermore, PAI and its key stakeholders are increasingly aware that good environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) are fundamental to business success and in turn, strong investment performance. A high proportion of PAI's portfolio companies have incorporated ESG issues within their processes and shareholder reporting for a number of years and some have already joined the
UN Global Compact.

On 21 May 2010, PAI signed the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Through this charter, PAI formally commits to incorporate environmental, social and governance criteria into its decision-making and ownership practices.
It also commits to promote responsible investment principles among the portfolio companies of the funds it manages and advises, as well as in its own corporate culture.
